Music for a game (TBA)

I am making sound design and music along with a composer named Troglody for a video game project.

The game

This is an infiltration game inspired by Metal Gear Solid. The action takes place in the Carcassonne castle in medieval times.

## The music

Alert

This is the music heard whenever the player is seen by a guard and has to hide as soon as they can.

Sneak

This music is made so the player can focus on the sounds of the guards and feel some pressure.

Sound design

The sounds were made by Akhun, Troglody and me. I had to make many footsteps sounds. I went for an approach that lets me create many variations of a single footstep sound in no time. The idea was to use a footstep sample from freesound.org and to use it as a convolver. Then I created an impulse generator along with several tone-modifying effects and got many footstep sounds. The variations were made by randomizing some parameters everytime the impulse was played using bitwig’s random module.
